T/RS 541 - The Development of Catholic Moral Theology3 cr. A study of the history and development of Catholic moral theology beginning with Aquinas through manualism to the contemporary scene. It will include American moral thinking such as proportionalism in relation to Papal teaching and Protestant ethics. Readings will be drawn from Aquinas, J.C. Murray, Leo XIII, John Paul II, C. Curran, and others.
