1Two math options are available to Business majors:

  • Option I* (3 credits) MATH 107 - (Q) Quantitative Methods II
  • Option II* (4 credits) MATH 114 - (Q) Calculus I

*Students are tested for math placement during summer orientation.  On the basis of these tests and their high school background it will be recommended that some students take Option II, especially if they expect to pursue graduate studies. The majority of students will be placed in Option I, and may also be required to take MATH 106  as a prerequisite to taking MATH 107 .

2The selection of a First Year Seminar is likely to fulfill requirements both for the First Year Seminar and a General Education Requirement.  Thus, the First Year Seminar will not add to the total credits for the semester.  Talk with your advisor if you have any questions.

3Twelve credits of Global and Regional courses are required, of which two courses should focus at the global level and two courses should focus on one (non-U.S.) region of the world. Global and regional courses can be from any GE area including free electives.
