**The selection of a First Year Seminar is likely to fulfill requirements both for the First Year Seminar and a General Education Requirement, in which case the First Year Seminar will not add to the total credits for the semester.  If a student chooses the CHS First Year Seminar (CHS 110X ), it will be counted as a free CHS elective. Talk with your advisor if you have any questions.

*** It is strongly recommended that you take CHS 293  during your sophomore year but no later than fall of junior year (preferably concurrently or just after your statistics course), as it lays the foundation for advanced research papers that will be required in your last two years.
