Accelerated Health Informatics MS

An Accelerated Master of Science in Health Informatics degree program is available to University of Scranton undergraduate students who meet specific admissions criteria. In the Accelerated program, a maximum of 12 graduate credits may be applied toward the completion of the undergraduate degree. Students are eligible to apply for this admission option if they have achieved a GPA of at least 3.5 after completing 60 credit hours or a GPA of at least 3.25 after completing 90 credit hours. Students accepted through this option would still be considered undergraduates and allowed to take up to a maximum of 12 credits as an undergraduate while following all applicable university guidelines.

Students are limited to taking up to the first four courses of the program prior to completing their undergraduate degree. These courses are HINF 520  –Introduction to Health Informatics; HINF 530  – Healthcare Knowledge for Health Informatics; HINF 535  – Principles of Computer Science and Software Development; and HINF 540  – Information Technology for Health Informatics.
