Graduate Studies Catalog 2013-2014

The administration program is designed to prepare principals for grades K–12. For admission to the program, an applicant must meet both CGCE Admission Standards , and the departmental requirements outlined in the Education section of this catalog. In addition, the applicant must hold a valid instructional or educational specialist certificate.

EADM 506 - Problems in School Administration and Supervision
EADM 511 - School Finance
EADM 516 - School Law
EADM 521 - Principal as Administrator
EADM 526 - Principles & Practices of Supervision
EADM 531 - Practicum in Elementary School Administration
EADM 536 - Practicum in Secondary School Administration
Note: Students must pass the requisite Praxis examinations, which are mandated by PDE in addition to the above requirements. Students must have at least five years of appropriate certificated experience in basic education to achieve a Commonwealth of Pennsylvania administrative certificate.

Students in the Certification without a master’s degree program must have a site visit by a site supervisor of the University of Scranton. Site visits must be completed prior to the student completing their program and/or degree conferral.
