SLP 506 - Language & Literacy

This course studies the relationship between oral and written language, literacy development, discourse processes, academic skills, and their sociocultural significance (kindergarten- adult). Etiology and underlying anatomical and physiological, psychological, linguistic and cultural characteristics, as well as the developmental nature of disorders and differences, are addressed.
