BIOL 357 - Developmental Neuroscience (S)

(Prerequisites: CHEM 232 as well as one of the following: NEUR 330, BIOL 245, BIOL 350, BIOL 351, or PSIO 320)

This course provides an in-depth understanding of nervous system formation. Topics addressed may include neural differentiation and patterning, migration and growth, cellular signaling, synapse formation, and behavior. Experiments using molecular, cellular, and physiological approaches to understand the mechanisms driving neural development will also be discussed.

(Credits cannot be earned for BIOL 357 and NEUR 357 .)
