ME 270 - Materials Engineering

This class is an introduction to materials sciences, dealing with properties of solids, the fundamentals of atomic structure, interatomic bonding and crystal lattice structures, diffusion mechanisms and phase diagrams for major classes of solid materials. Special attention is given to the economic environment and current social issues such as recycling issues in materials sciences and engineering.
