ARTH 108 - Asian Art and Cultures3 cr.
Introducing the art of India, Japan and China (10,000 BC - 1700 AD), this course studies art in contexts of religion, politics, gender, literature and history. Hands-on learning of Chinese brush painting, Japanese woodblock printing, 6th century Indian miniature painting, and a field trip to the Philadelphia Museum of Art are included.
