GERM 320E/320F - (W,D) Sex in the City: Gender and Modernity in Weimar Germany3 cr. The Weimar Republic (1919-1933) was formed in the wake of military and political conflicts and failed revolution. This course explores relationships among the aestheticization of violence against women, their increased visibility in the labor force, and public expressions of women’s sexuality. (May be taken in combination with a one-credit language practicum, GERM 333 , for German credit.)
