PHYS 350 - Applied and Engineering Mathematics3 cr. (Prerequisites: MATH 222, PHYS 141)
An applied course featuring first and second-order differential equations with constant coefficients; Fourier series, Fourier transforms, and Laplace Transforms; Partial differential equations and boundary value problems; special functions including Bessel functions and Legendre polynomials. MAPLE software is utilized. Three hours lecture. (Also listed as ENGR 350.)
