T/RS 228 - (P) Parables in Pop Culture3 cr.
(Formerly T/RS 214 and T/RS 228Z) popular culture from the perspective of Christian faith. We will discuss Jesus’ use of parables, engage the theological tradition of “finding God in all things,” and analyze a variety of artistic productions (movies, television and music) that represent dominant themes of contemporary culture.
