GERM 315 - (W,D,CF) Violence in Twentieth Century Germany3 cr. (Prerequisites: Four completed semesters of college-level German or instructor permission) Violence is a central problem in twentieth-century German culture and society. Our most common associations with "German" violences, including the two world wars and the Holocaust, are specific articulations of violence and brutality that together generate cultural and historical questions.
